Ski Rental
With your online booking you can go straight to the equipment collection point. If you need ski or snowboard boots, please start at the boot collection point. If you have your own boots with you, you can go straight to the ski or board collection point. If you have booked a depot, go to our cash desk in the ski rental shop again at the end.
You can store your ski or snowboard equipment flexibly in our stores at Nebelhorn or Fellhorn in Oberstdorf. We do not need any changes from you if you have pre-booked in the other branch. Please note: You can only get cross-country skiing equipment in our branch on Nebelhorn
Of course, you can also change categories during your vacation if you want to try something new. We will calculate the difference to the exact day and settle the bill with you directly on site. Just speak to our staff at the ski rental.
We offer you the complete hardware in the area of ski rental. You can also rent special equipment such as telemark skis and boots or avalanche transceiver equipment from us in Oberstdorf. Just ask us in the shops if you need advice. For hygiene reasons, however, we are unable to rent ski goggles, clothing or gloves. You are welcome to purchase these in one of our shops.
Many of our items can be booked through our online shop. If you are interested in a specific ski or cannot find an item in our online shop, just send us a short email or give us a call. We will be happy to help you with the reservation at the ski rental shop.
When booking, please always state your normal shoe size, which is also the size you wear in your street shoes. You can try on several models on site, or you can get a different size if your size doesn't fit. Tip: The shoe size for ski boots or snowboard boots is given in "Mondopoint". You can simply measure the length of your foot in cm and then you will get the right size of your outer shell for the rental.
Our computer system calculates the setting of your ski bindings for you. To do this, we need information such as weight, age, height, skiing ability and the length of your ski boots. If you have your own ski boots and only want to rent skis from us, we always need a ski boot to adjust the bindings.
You are welcome to come to our ski rental shop from 15:30 p.m. the day before and pick up your equipment. The day will not be included in your rental price. Please note that in this case you should select the "Pick up the day before" option at the depot.
Unfortunately, our tiered prices only apply to a continuous rental period. A free day off from the ski or snowboard rental is unfortunately not possible.
Bike Rental
Our rental shop is open for you every day from 8:30 a.m. You will of course receive your e-bike completely ready to go with a full battery. If you rent it for a longer period of time, you are welcome to take the bike with you to your accommodation or leave it with us overnight. The latest you can return it on your last rental day is 17:30 p.m.
All e-bikes can be easily charged using a normal socket. You have the option of connecting the charging cable directly to the frame or you can remove the battery using a key. The battery can then be conveniently recharged overnight like a cell phone. You need to allow around 8 hours for a full charge.
The weight limit is specified by the manufacturer and is a safety-relevant factor. Spokes, rims and braking systems are subjected to a great deal of stress, especially on e-bikes, due to the higher speeds and greater weight. Overloading can lead to falls and accidents.
The frame sizes of our rental bikes are all given in US sizes "S to XL". However, to book via our online shop or on site, you only need your height in cm and we will be happy to advise you. All bikes have adjustable saddles and will be adjusted with you on site.
You are also welcome to rent our trailers if you are there with your own bike. It is important that you bring a suitable adapter axle for your bike. Since there are many different types and sizes, we unfortunately do not always have these in stock. Please inquire in advance whether it is possible to mount it on your bike.
Depending on the support level you choose and the altitude you ride with the e-bike, you have a range of 40 to 120 km. Another relevant factor is the weight of the rider. Experience shows that you can travel around 60 to 70 km with the bike if you plan one of our classic tours around Oberstdorf.
We do not have spare batteries for our rental bikes as they are very heavy and bulky to transport. However, the capacity of one battery charge is usually sufficient for the entire day, so replacing the battery is not necessary.
With a hardtail you get a mountain bike with a suspension fork on the front wheel. With a fully, the rear frame is also equipped with suspension. This makes the fully even better suited for riding on the trail and off-road.
Ski School
Our ski beginners have access to a well-designed, learning and experience-oriented ski school area on the Seealpe at Nebelhorn This way we can encourage and inspire you individually through several learning levels. In addition, our Kids Camps and the Mini Club also take place on Nebelhorn (directly in Oberstdorf) – depending on your skiing ability on the Seealpe or on the Höfatsblick station. Are you already able to master red slopes? Then our entire ski school offer is also available to you on the more challenging Fellhorn ski area available.
In our ski school we offer courses for skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing. We coach each participant individually, from beginners to advanced, according to their previous experience and learning goals. When cross-country skiing, you can choose between classic technique and skating. If you have never been on a cross-country ski trail before, we recommend that you start with the classic technique (on the track).
If your ski course starts in the morning, you will meet your ski instructor directly in one of our NTC shops at the valley stations of the Nebelhorn - Or Fellhornbahn Oberstdorf. If your course starts after 12:00, your ski instructor will already be waiting for you on the mountain. Please ask again in one of our shops in Oberstdorf for the exact meeting point.
The time stated for your ski or snowboard course is always the full time in the snow. If you have booked a course where the meeting point is already on the mountain, plan some time at the cable cars and lifts. For 5-hour courses, an additional hour for lunch is always included.
You can book your ski pass along with your course or equipment in one of our shops in Oberstdorf. We will also be happy to advise you on the best offers and the different options for your lift ticket, depending on the length of your course and your vacation time.
Especially for adults, the differences in previous knowledge, age and fitness level are very large. In order to improve your skiing skills effectively and meaningfully, we recommend a private course. This way, your ski or snowboard instructor can adapt to your individual needs and improve your technique in a short time.
You can rent all your equipment for the ski or snowboard course from us. You will also need a valid lift ticket, which we will be happy to provide you with in our shops at Fellhorn and Nebelhorn For hygiene reasons, we are unfortunately unable to rent out ski gloves, socks or ski goggles. You are welcome to buy these in one of our shops if you are still missing equipment.
If you or your children have already been on skis or a board and can ski and brake independently for the first few meters, you are already a "beginner plus". We will then make a more precise distinction on site as to which level has already been reached. The information provided by the children's ski school is initially intended as a rough classification. Please enter "beginner" as your level if you have no previous experience, or if you still find it difficult to brake independently or turn when snowboarding. You are an "expert" if you can already manage red slopes well.
You can cancel your ski course free of charge up to 24 hours before the course starts, after which the full course fee will be charged. In this case, please write us a short email or call us.

You can work from Monday to Sunday from 8.00 a.m. to 18.00 p.m. There are individual weekly plans that are based on your preferred days or availability.
Ski instructors, shop and rental staff, guides and more – at NTC you get all services related to winter sports. Accordingly, we also offer jobs in all areas during the winter season.
You are welcome to apply for several areas if you are interested – we will definitely find a solution together.
Depending on the area of work you are employed in, you will be working in the mountains or in the valley 😊
Our ski instructors mainly work in the ski area “ Nebelhorn “ in Oberstdorf. Advanced courses also take place in the ski area Fellhorn / Kanzelwand, so you will also change here from time to time.
Our shop and rental staff are located in our shops directly at the valley station of Nebelhorn or Fellhorn Here you are usually only assigned to one location.
You don't necessarily need any qualifications beforehand - you just need the right attitude and motivation.
